Sylvia McElrath-Nelson is the owner of The Renaissance Hair Studio in Norfolk,Va She has been a hairstylist for over 20 years. Sylvia specializes in healthy care and she prides herself in getting as much education as possible so that she can remain on the cutting edge.

Sylvia is a Senior educator with Mizani, LLC a professional division of L'Oreal she has been with the company for the past 9 years. She travels around the country and abroad educating and training some of the world's top stylist.

Sylvia is a trained Make-Up artist; she studied at The University of Dudley Cosmetology. She has had the pleaure and the oppurtunity of training at The Vidal Sasson Academy in advance hair cutting and hair coloring,where she learnd all about the ABC's of hair cutting.

Sylvia is the mananger of The Salon Plaza in Norfolk Va where she oversees 22 Independent Salon Owners.
